Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism at St. Michael The Archangel Parish

At Saint Michael’s, we offer both private and community Baptisms. Private ceremonies are for only one family and are scheduled depending on parish availability. Community ceremonies are for multiple families and are always on the 3rd Sunday of the month, immediately following the 12:00 Mass.

For preparation for Baptism, we require attendance at one Baptismal Preparation class. These are held on the 2nd Monday of every month at 7PM in the Upper Church (St John’s).

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.
