Lenten disciplines of fasting and abstinence: Catholics in good health, ages 18 to 59, are required to fast and to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Fasting consists of eating only one meal with the possibility of two smaller snacks that do not add up to a single full meal.

Come Spend Some Time With The Lord~  Eucharistic Adoration every Monday 9:30-10:30am downstairs in Holy Rosary Chapel and Thursday 5:00-7:00pm in the Upper Church

Greetings! Welcome to St. Michael Parish in Winthrop! Whether you are a long-time parishioner or just passing through, you are most welcome. The late Pope John XXIII commented that the Christian vocation is simply this: “To get to Heaven and to bring as many people with us as possible.” At St. Michael Parish, we take that calling seriously. This local parish exists for the salvation of souls. We want all to share in communion with God and neighbor here and now and in the life to come: Heaven.

We hope you will join us for our celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. When we give God praise and thanksgiving, it is then that we are most authentically human and alive. The Mass puts us on the road to Heaven.

St. Michael’s parishioners and parish team stand ready to walk that road with you. Please join us!

Sincerely,

Father Chris O’Connor, Pastor
