Meet Kristina Lessard, Our Youth and Family Minister

“Hi there! My name is Kristina Lessard, and I’m so grateful to begin serving as the new Youth and Family Minister here at St. Michael’s. Having grown up in Winthrop as a parishioner of the Holy Rosary Church, my faith has been shaped by years of involvement in parish life, through youth groups, retreats, service projects, and liturgical ministry — which continued throughout my education at Fordham University.

Over the course of my own life, I’ve grown closer to Jesus and have witnessed His presence in both joy and challenges. Most recently, I’ve been working as a mental health counselor, and this journey has deepened my desire to help share the hope and peace that come from a relationship with Jesus. I look forward to walking alongside our youth and families as we strengthen our faith together and experience God’s love in everyday life.

In this new role, I’m eager to create opportunities for youth and families to grow closer to Christ and to one another. I hope to foster a welcoming environment where faith can flourish through prayer, service, and fellowship, and where young people can feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow in relationship with Christ. I’m looking forward to partnering with our wonderful parents, parish staff, and volunteers to continue to build a vibrant, faith-filled community rooted in prayer, service, and authentic connection. Together, we can continue to grow as disciples and bring the light of Christ more fully into our parish, our homes, and the wider world.

I feel deeply blessed to be part of this parish family and can’t wait to see how God continues to move in and through us!”
